• (11/22) Gifts are NOT used in computing fees in a Plan. They are completely independent. Fees are computed based on passengers (droid, cargo, humans) and fuel costs.

  Also, testPlan does not set the donate. However, when you create a plan, you should set the amount of gifts donated or collected.

  • assume source and destination are not the same planet.
  • assume there are enough planets to go to that you do not need to apply Dijkstra's or some recursive strategy (though, for extra credit, you shouldn't assume this).
  • assume the basic strategy is to find a planet within range that can be landed on that is closer to the destination.
  Note: gifts do not count in the total fees. Fuel does count in the total fees. The human fees in a Transport instruction is computed are based on multiplying the humans by the individual human fees. Similarly, for the droids. Total cargo fees are computed by summing the total weight of the cargo and multiplying by the per unit weight of cargo on the planet being landed on.

• (11/22) As mentioned in P4 README.updates (in posting account), you should add the following methods (and implement them) in Transport.h

    Name getSourceName() const ;
    Name getDestName() const ;
  

• (11/18) The computation of the Manhattan distance is between source and destination planet, not source and source planet. That was a typo. P4 specs have been corrected on this.
• (11/17) Names of all planets will be distinct. Thus, no two planets, regardless of type, will have the same name (at least, they won't match using operator== on the planet names).
• (11/17) Some corrections have been made to Plan.h and Plan.cpp in SetFour. See the main README.updates for details.
• (11/16) You should add a clone() method to WarShip and PeaceShip. SetFour now has an updated Ship.h which adds a pure virtual clone method. (This is useful for createPlan in Task 4).
