- Aged Programming Editor
- Aged is the successor to Ged for computers with the X Window System.
It uses Tcl/Tk and is written in a mixture of Tcl/Tk and C. Aged is public
domain software.

- The Vile Editor
- An editor with the finger feel of vi with many extensions and an optional
GUI for Athena, Motif, OpenLook and others.
- VIM - Vi was one of the original editors,
and while difficult to use, loads much faster than, for example, Emacs,
and is good for making small changes to files.
