<br />Great party cd. The last reviewer mentioned that Mr. Cheese's stylings show the absurdity of the songs' lyrics. I agree in some cases, but also think absurdity is in the ear of the beholder. For example, Cheese articulates so well I really *heard* some lyrics for the first time... "Insane in the Brain" lyrics seem really good. And sometimes Cheese and Lounge's phrasing and compositions lend greatness to average lyrics --"Relax" is now operatic genius. Anyway, hear for yourself!! <br />Much better than the original version; much less annoying. The house beat beats (ha ha) the original beat. Look for "Oye Mi Canto", Nina Sky's much better single. Nina Sky are actually two sisters; don't get confused. Good song.
<br />3. Stellar Project feat. Brandi Emma "Get Up, Stand Up" (Phunk Investigation Radio Edit) (3:20) A+
<br />Awesome song! The beat is great, the vocalist is awesome, and the song is overall wonderful. One of the best on the album.

<br />The vocals are good, but the song gets repetitive. The chorus is awesome but a trance remix would really spice up this boring song.
<br />5. Marly "You Never Know" (3:35) B
<br />No, not Bob Marley, nowhere close. The vocalist somewhat reminds me of the vocalist on Eyeopener's "Hungry Eyes" (Now 59). This song is OK. Good beat but kind of boring. Vocals aren't great.
<br />6. Narcotic Thrust "I Like It" (6:15) A-
<br />No need for the extended mix, but this song is pretty good. Much better than their first single. Strange lyrics, but extremely catchy. Good vocalist, good song.

<br />Kind of annoying, but catchy. I think Danzel won the UK's "Pop Idol", the original "American Idol" only in the UK (duh). Good song. I think this a remix but I'm not sure. A different beat than the original.

<br />Horrible remix of a great song. One, the vocals go too slowly. They just drone on and on. Second, the beat is good, but the other sounds are kind of disturbing and unneeded. This remix is not good at all. Some of the lyrics are even cut off! Nope, never listening to this one again.
<br />9. Britney Spears "Everytime" (Valentin Remix) (3:55) B+
<br />If it weren't for the annoying sounds, this song would easily get an A. Great remix compared to Track 8. Awesome beat and tempo for the lyrics. Better than the Valentin Remix of O-Zone's "Dragostea Din Tea", the most catchy Romanian dance song ever. How random.
<br />10. Deborah Cox "Easy As Life - Theme From Aida - " (3:57) B+
<br />Deborah Cox did a great job in her play outing "Aida" - this dance remix of the theme of the play is OK but nothing too special. Good beat and vocals though.

<br />Wonderful song and easily Reina's best. Her 1997 hit "Find Another Woman" was good but then her 2004 single wasn't great. This song opens the new year on a great note. Awesome song - great lyrics and decent beat. Great job, Reina!

<br />Good song, but isn't as good as "Never", their first single. Also, the Johnny Budz Breaks Mix of "Never" was better too. Even though the beat remains cool, this song just isn't as deep.

<br />Again, their first single, "Damaged", was a lot better. "Cherish The Day" is still a good song though. Great beat and alien-type effects/sounds. The vocalist remains really good. Nice song.

<br />Awesome song. Wynonna is an amazing singer and this is a really good song. The remix is awesome because of the really catchy and memorable beat. Deep lyrics and music. I really want to hear her next song.

<br />Best song on the album. This exclusive track is a rare gem in trance music. Great subtle beat, lifting lyrics, and awesome singer. Loona also starred on DJ Sammy's "Boys Of Summer", his 2nd best hit. I can't wait to get the single of this song! I wish there was a second verse, but who cares? This song is awesome and another awesome way to start the year!

<br />Lasgo's vocalist, Evi Goffin, has a wonderful voice. The beat to this song isn't too awesome, though. I'm just glad "Alone" stopped replaying on the radio every five minutes. Decent song, but every Lasgo track is starting to sound frighteningly similar.

<br />Mandy Moore - Candy: A One of my fav Mandy songs. Very nice!

<br />Eiffel 65 - Blue: A+ One of the best on the album. The music vid was cool and it's a great pop-dance song.

<br />Sonique - It Feels So Good: C- There were too many genres throwed into this song (pop, dance, techno, reggage, rap) that it was a bad disaster.

<br />Lenny Kravitz - I Belong To You: C My least fav Lenny song. It's pretty boring, but, It's Lenny so I guess it's good.

<br />Savage Garden - I Knew I Loved You: B+ This is a good romantic song that I wouldn't mind hearing again. Though, it's not the best on Now 4, it's good.

<br />Joe - I Wanna Know: C Boring, generic, R&B. Nothing special.

<br />Aaliyah - Try Again: A This was one of my favorite Aaliyah songs. Too bad she can't make another. I'll buy her greatest hits album or whenever it comes out. Is it out? Will their be one out?

<br />Jennifer Lopez - Waiting For Tonite: B+ Though I don't like Jennifer Lopez much, I like this song. Pretty good music from J Lo.

<br />Montell Jordan - Get It On Tonite: D This song is like track 9 (Joe - I Wanna Know), but even worse.

<br />Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals - Steal My Kisses: B- This is pretty generic, but it's better than the other generic stuff on here.

<br />Smash Mouth - Then The Morning Comes: B+ This wasn't the best Smash Mouth song, but it's still a good listen.

<br />Train - Meet Virginia: A I have always liked Train, and this song is not exception. Very good Train!
<br />
<br />Macy Gray - I Try: B Sometimes I'm in the mood for the song, and sometimes I'm not. When I am, it's a really good raspy R&B song.

<br />Hanson - This Time Around: D Boring, stupid Hanson. You'll know it sucks.

<br />blink-182 - All The Small Things: A+ No better way to end the album. Very great, and I'm looking forward to blink 182's new album in 2005.

<br />Various Artists - Now 4 Overall Grade: A- This was a good installment for Now, though, not the best. I did raised the grade because I LOVE the artwork.B00004UAL530A1WLKGF88IYVK002004-12-11Getting Slightly BetterRight about now, the worst problem with this disc is that yes there still isn't any N'Sync tracks, and some songs here (namely "I Need to Know" by Marc Anthony) are either instantly forgettable or just plain terrible. But these problems don't arise as often on this installment of Now.

<br />Again this time, you get exactly what you'd expect- a lot of overplayed radio tunes, and some strange choice filler. I have no idea who Ben Harper is, and you're not likely to either (unless you listen to real music - these compilations are only ever good for teeny boppers).
<br />
<br />The best part with Now 4, is that all these songs are real hits for their makers. "Candy" is Mandy Moore's only true hit, "Larger Than Life" is actually a good Backstreet Boys tune, and "Waiting for Tonight", "Blue", and "I Try" were all massive on the radio. If you're likely to ever buy a contemporary pop compilation, I suggest this is the one. Though if you're into your own thing, this compilation isn't likely to be that.
