Problems caused for a few people in class because of adjustments to the submit server.
If you have previously successfully submitted project 1, but now the submit server tells you that you are not registered for the class, follow these directions. Read them carefully, and follow them exactly. Send email to jplane@cs.umd.edu if you have any questions during the process.
1) Go to the resource perspective.
a. On the far right where you select java or CVS perspective, select the box that is subdivided and find the perspective named "Resource"
2) Once in the resource perspective, on the far left is the Project Explorer. In the top right corner of that window are several shapes, a triangle, rectangle, etc. When you put the mouse pointer over the triangle it says "View Menu". Select to view the menu from the Project Explorer in the Resource Perspective.
3) On the menu that comes down when you select to view the menu, it says "Customize View…" (it is near the bottom). Select that menu item, and it will bring up a dialog box with several square boxes on the left some of which have checkmarks in them.
4) One box that is checked has the label ".* resources" - uncheck that one item and click the ok. Clicking the OK will close the dialog box.
5) Then in the Project Explorer window (still in the resource perspective), expand the Spring09Proj1 project file.
6) You will see a file named ".submitUser". (You will also see a file named ".submit" make sure you do not touch the file named .submit that is right next to it in the list.)
7) You need to delete the file named .submitUser by right clicking on the file named .submitUser in the Spring09Proj1 folder. (Again, make sure you do not delete .submit).
8) Once that file is deleted, you will be able to submit again. Switch back to the Java Perspective and continue as usual.
9) You will have to type in your university ID and password as you submit, but everything should be fine.
