Lodging

Lodging options include local hotels or on-campus housing at the University of Maryland.

On-Campus Housing

There are a number of rooms in campus residence halls that are available for lodging during the conference. The South Campus Community has suite-style accomodations that resemble small apartments without a kitchen. They are carpeted and air-conditioned. Each bedroom is furnished with a twin bed, dresser, and chair for each guest. Most of the bedrooms have capacity for two people, although there are a limited number of singles. Accommodations are clean and comfortable, however, they do not have any amenities such as televisions, lamps, or alarm clocks. A telephone is provided in each bedroom. For more detailed information of on-campus housing and dining, please refer to the Conference & Visitor Services Summer Guest Guide.

Local Hotels

Hypertext 2002 offers a special group rate of $79/night plus tax at the Best Western College Park Inn, 1/2 mile from the University of Maryland's campus. When making reservations, refer to "Hypertext 2002." Reservations must be made by May 22 to receive the group rate.
