Lodging options include local hotels or on-campus housing at the University of Maryland.
There are a number of rooms in campus residence halls that are available for lodging during the conference. The South Campus Community has suite-style accomodations that resemble small apartments without a kitchen. They are carpeted and air-conditioned. Each bedroom is furnished with a twin bed, dresser, and chair for each guest. Most of the bedrooms have capacity for two people, although there are a limited number of singles. Accommodations are clean and comfortable, however, they do not have any amenities such as televisions, lamps, or alarm clocks. A telephone is provided in each bedroom. For more detailed information of on-campus housing and dining, please refer to the Conference & Visitor Services Summer Guest Guide.
Hypertext 2002 offers a special group rate of $79/night plus tax at the Best Western College Park Inn, 1/2 mile from the University of Maryland's campus. When making reservations, refer to "Hypertext 2002." Reservations must be made by May 22 to receive the group rate.
For additional nearby lodging, please see the University of Maryland's list of local accomodations or ISR's list of hotels.
For guests staying on campus, parking passes are included in the lodging package. Guests staying off campus may pay for garage or lot parking by the hour or may obtain an all-day or week-long meter permit from Campus Parking, located in Regents Drive Parking Garage. For more information, please see the University of Maryland's information page on Visitor Parking.
