Project Showcase - CMSC 828D - Leilani Battle
My graduate seminar (CMSC828D) will be holding a final projects showcase at the end of the semester, and everyone is welcome to attend. The showcase will take place on Thursday December 6 at 3:30pm in room 2460 AVW. Light refreshments will be served.
The focus of CMSC828D is to understand how different visualization, database, and HCI principles can be used together to develop innovative systems for interactive analysis of complex (and often large) datasets.
I look forward to seeing you at the event! For those who are curious:
The final projects showcase will highlight an exciting range of methods and applications, such as: generation and evaluation of visualization recommendations, extending existing visualization systems to support large-scale data analysis, applying interactive analytics principles to other areas of CS (e.g., computational biology, information retrieval), using sound to signal outlier events in data streams, measuring perceived bias in visualizations, developing games for teaching data science topics, and developing visualization interfaces for log analysis and query debugging.
