Dr. Jonathan Lazar will describe his overall approach to research, which involves empirical research on user interaction and performance for people with disabilities. This core research to better understand the needs and strengths of people with disabilities often leads in one of two research directions: either the development and evaluation of prototypes and tools, or empirical research to inform law and policy. During his presentation, he will present on a few of his current research projects, including his research on PDF accessibility, which involves both the development of prototypes and tools, and also research to inform law and policy.
