Research Programmer

Position Number: 



The Department of Computer Science is hiring a programmer to participate in and lead the development of web-based apparatus as part of a research project in cyber-collaborative systems and decision-making funded by the U.S. Department of Defense. The position will include conducting experiments and developing enhancements as the apparatus becomes deployed industrially and experience with its use grows. This full-time position is for one year but could be extended for up to three years.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Server-side web development experience programming in PHP or Python frameworks
  • Knowledge of Unix/Linux development environments
  • Experience developing software in dynamic and collaborative environment



  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science
  • Experience as full stack developer
  • Educational background or experience with UX design
  • Experience with experimental design in a research setting
