I am a current PhD candidate in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park, where I received my my M.S. in Computer Science in 2014.
My research interests focus on machine learning, computational linguistics, information visualization, and human computer interaction. I have collaborated with various past and present faculty members including Leah Findlater, Jordan Boyd-Graber, and Ben Shneiderman. I'm passionate about the design of intuitive interfaces and data visualizations for machine learning algorithms and their results. This includes work in explainable machine learning and human-centered design for interactive machine learning algorithms.
I received my B.S. in Applied Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from The College of William and Mary in 2009.
