Well, the child sweatshops and the chimney sweepers of London 100 years ago are what inspired a whole 'nother conception of youth. a garden of Eden and a return to the Unity with the creator. (I'm an athiest, so NO, I'm not going to capitalize the "c" in "creator. ") But it's a fiction; it's a cultural invention created by art. Much like how various media influence our social universes.
