the chalet -- in simple terms -- was a complete waste of time. but cc and i managed to while about an hour talking about people who i haven't the faintest idea of, and at least i managed to share urlLink some things i do know from obsessively reading the bbc.
clifton, kee and i were loitering pasir ris at... um... 1.30am, then we had a meal of hk-style fried rice later and everyone destroyed clifton's sparklers. better than watching some horror movie or four boys hog the playstation, bless those fools. at five thirty in the morning, the few of us who were smart enough to demand a respite from this utter nonsense left for orchard, which proved to be quite a costly mistake because for all the vibrant night life that orchard has even burger king only opens at 7.30am and the old aunties tending the counters were all too eager to aggravate our gastric aches.
but that's freedom. i slept when i came back, so, yes, i will be well awake until the next sunrise. my dear english-language acing alice wants to urlLink get involved in a battle of dignified words with me. lest i remind all of you once again, formalities and dignified words are what make people from my wonderful, brilliant school what they call gentlemen. i never said, however, that one shouldn't indulge in our distinctively local (and embarassing) spoken language. in fact, i can absolutely promise you that i speak in a tone suitable for our youth gangsters about three times a day, and inject more chinese terms in my language than a -- forgive the slang term -- fucking chinese scholar. (if you wish to nitpick, all that a fucking chinese scholar does is moan. ) just ask kee wen.
your english-laced profanities wouldn't stand a chance. and yes, i don't have a unique identity, which sucks. but the world needs a few more unique people like you, people who are willing to be champions of american culture, to be cheated by filthy rich music companies to buy albums and so forth, because it is a kind, brilliant, unique person like you who will keep the world (and my humble beating heart) going. thank you, and if you have never heard this in simple terms already, i love you so much. good night!
