  i sent a letter to streats half-berating the author for breeding american-gotten rock music instincts in all of us. and roberto here's a list of questions i pilfered: 1. what did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before? impersonate brother paul, eat too much turkey sandwiches and, uh, not vomit. 2. did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? in the words of bill watterson, "i find it easier to live life with lowered expectations". 3. did anyone close to you give birth?
no. 4. did anyone close to you die? no. my grandparents are all six feet below and my parents are healthy. 5. what countries did you visit? none.
6. what would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003? better grades. and money. and a lot of nice food to eat. 7. what date from 2003 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? the day we first got to meet our physics teacher, and also the day he said the immortal words when someone asked him a stupid question "liddat liddat liddat equal liddat lor".
this is the most competent teacher since, i don't know. 8. what was your biggest achievement of the year? i made myself happy all year. subject to your interpretation. 9. what was your biggest failure? everything.
10. did you suffer illness or injury? flu, strained my hamstring and fell in love. 11. what was the best thing you bought? coca cola. i don't recall. 12. whose behaviour merited celebration?
13. whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed? 14. where did most of your money go? food. 15. what did you get really, really, really excited about? nothing. i think so.
16. what song will always remind you of 2003? 2003 wasn't a great year for music. 17. compared to this time last year, are you happier or sadder? about the same. i don't fluctuate like girls do. ii.
thinner or fatter? both height and weight increase, so overall, i still look like a living skeleton. i hate myself. iii. richer or poorer? about the same.

then i got sick. 22. how many one night stands? heh heh heh. none. 23. what was your favourite TV programme? MONTY PYTHON'S FLYING CIRCUS, duh.
24. do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? no. 25. what was the best book you read? i don't try to rank my books. and honestly, most of the books these days are trash. in particular, 'someone like you' by sarah dressen.
26. what was your greatest musical discovery? they were all mostly great. 27. what did you want and get? three meals, shelter and the ability to make fun of all my teachers. 28. what did you want and not get? a lot.
29. what was your favourite film of this year? i watched "tora tora tora" last night, and considering all of the latest movies are pretty crummy, that's my favourite now. 30. what did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? nothing. my parents wanted us to go out or something, but i said "either we migrate from this stupid country or we'll do nothing", and they settled for the latter. 31. what one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
no school. 32. how would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003? at home, i am a singlets boy. outside, cy usually chooses what i wear, and i wear ridiculously plain things. 33. what kept you sane? never was.
34. which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? oh, george w. bush. yeah. what a bastard. 35. what political issue stirred you the most? none.
