guess which catchphrase has keen wong's (always keen, surely) seal of approval for most f***ing irritating political soundbite of the year. that's right, chen shui-bian's "taiwan". y remarks that it is indeed remarkably irritating. just imagine he and hu jintao at the negotiations table and chen screaming "taiwan" in his face and hu wiping his face ever so gently with a large white hankerchief.
ah. i have two weeks' of music (about 4000 tracks), and even then i've only found brian eno's apollo soundtrack to suit the mood: "deep blue day" from the apollo soundtrack for the scene after winston has betrayed julia and is now whiling his time away at the chestnut tree, awaiting news of victory. "always returning" from the apollo soundtrack for the scene when winston is courting julia. well, and a few other scenes. it's not a natural fit, but fits the mood surprisingly well.
