yup, i'm hungry again. today we had... let me see... yes. some fish soup thing. it's totally horrible. even the sour plum + assorted things couldn't save it. it still sucks.
what i'd like is herbal soup. bitter, i know, but us HDB people don't quite have the money to indulge in all the luxuries. anyway, i crave laksa now. very bad craving. mmmm. laksa + buah keluak (only if the gravy is superb) + char kway teow + carrot cake (more like radish cake and lots of egg) + one store i remember where you eat some chilli padi with pieces of beancurd (yum) and so on and so on and so on.
OHHHH i need you so badly. i want you, i need you, i crave you. all i ask for is to be able to sit in a food court, air conditioned, peace, food and a nice drink. and wireless web access, and a nice couch, and television, and satellite radio. and a plump girl to massage me (less bones, less pain). and a krusty doll.
yeah! and i'd like a zoo named after me. i think. but i'll shut up and go make myself some egg and porridge now. football day. i have nothing to say about my lousy football.
i can't dribble, can't run properly, can't kick or pass correctly, can't shoot, can't volley and pretty much everything else. i even react too slowly. but i'll learn. a people daily article (no link, sorry) says that about 36% of schooling chinese singaporeans speak english at home. 36%. i always thought it was something like 20%.
that proportion has since risen to 45% in recent times, that is, the latest batch of babies. it isn't as if among that 60% of chinese speaking chinese, all of them speak perfect mandarin. quite the contrary. none of my mandarin speaking friends speak with the locally indecipherable accent of a true-blue cheenapiang (yup, we even have a singlish word insulting our heritage). and urlLink this page talks about christianity providing the best moral value: right below it, there's a table that shows that christianity is the undisputed religion of choice among university-educated singaporeans. and i don't know the implication of that.
i'll be honest: i don't think it's any more "moral value" than "western trends", "modern thinking" and "globalisation". (think: people with "modern thinking" roam with so little, that "if a zebra's skin were fashioned for their needs, it'd only have one stripe". ) [super cool quote from cy, what a fucking smart bitch. hawhaw. ] ah, what am i saying. i need to eat something now.
goodbye.
