live with you KS, D and i went to play football at this park where there was a family carnival... apparently they were having a game to determine who had the longest, and then the biggest... thing.
2 females paid to talk dirty on a family carnival = priceless. i went to eat at the hawker centre later... a simple meal of duck rice & a bowl of soup comes to the tune of $5. $2 was spent on the soup alone--a delightful mix of bittergourd, chicken pieces and tomatoes. the pieces of fibre from gently disintegrated tomato float around conspiciously. a slight (and rather pleasant) taste of garlic is palpable. the soup itself is a strange character.
slightly masculine with the bittergourd's--um--bitterness and gently sweet & sour from the tomatoes. everything is boiled to perfect softness. the chicken bones within crumble with a delightful chomp. with every mouthful of duck and rice i down spoonful after spoonful of this soup. simply magic... now playing: suit of lights by elvis costello (it goes without saying that elvis costello is brilliant beyond words, but i really like restating myself over and over again).
