By some stroke of luck I found my verification slip - ticket to the examination hall this Monday. And you know, I've already paid half a bloody grand for a bunch of bald Cambridgers to play dice with my fate. What else do you want? At the bloody least, inform us the day we receive it , not wait until it's two days from the O Levels and then start reminding us to search our Piles of Papers Generously Provided By the School for them. Thank you, multi-tasking & efficient civil servants. You can see the school brimming in thoughtfulness in the following ways: 1. In the space of ten days, we have to carry our tables and chairs to and from the classroom, twice. 2. Some classes, like mine, do not have a single break day during the course of the examinations, and immediately after the papers are returned... Chinese lessons. 3. The very day *after* our bloody O Levels, we've got holiday lessons. Wow. Way to go.
Well, we got two lollypops to suck on today and our affable veep gave a hearty "I wish I could give you all my luck" speech. Yeah, that's some kind of a remedy. My life is relentless. In a few hours I've got Chinese remedial. 8.30am. And it's really really late now, but I can't sleep and I slept the whole afternoon anyway. Gahhh. Bye.
