I can't watch it on TV, but I've listened to it on BBC Radio Five and it's just as good. The BBC people were talking animatedly in the last two minutes. This is one of the most incredible games in the universe! And I never got to watch it live! England had, what, all of two chances in the first half (and scored once) - not including the Beckham penalty which Coco the Clown saved (!). Two Zidane goals in stoppage time ! Two Zidane dead balls! No goals from open play. All the fancied forwards - you name it, he was pretty much anonymous. And all that Rooney kid did was two runs and a couple of passes. That's pie in the face for you Henry peeps.
People are going to wake up to SPH's Godfrey Robert's latest instalment of urlLink populist bullshit about how England deserved to win. Sorry, England was pretty much trounced in every department, and it's not just my opinion (see BBC urlLink player ratings )... except the French forwards. Lacklustre. Or, if the BBC isn't good enough for you, try ESPN Soccernet's urlLink report , Godfrey. I'd say they didn't deserve to lose. But if you say that they deserved to win, then that's a different thing, because you know how the English football never lives up to its billing. Laterz.
