urlLink gCount is exactly what I need. Too bad it doesn't work now. Chinese oral: It was quite horrible, actually. The good thing is that I've said more in this oral than all my other Chinese orals combined since Sec 1.
At least, though, the discussion to my questions was relatively easy to marshall in Mandarin. But for each question I spent at least a minute or two looking at the blank space between myself and two bored-looking Chinese examiners. The cause was pretty much gone from the start, anyway, and it's as if I can do anything about it now. Listening comprehension: I got different answers from everybody. People - from SPH to whatever - have been moaning about the death of footballing justice.
And here's where the whole philosophy about football sinks in, one which both Luiz Felipe Scolari and Otto Rehhagel understood a very long time ago: tactics, teamwork, determination and discipline. What I do not know is if attacking flair is a natural extension to these virtues, but I hope I'll have some divine answer on Monday. I might sound like a no-good ultra neutral, but as I said before the Portugal - Spain game, 1. Portugal will qualify for the knockout stages (and quite deservedly advanced after that); and 2.
I'd like them to win it. Or maybe it's because I lost $20 on 0-0 and Greece winning on penalties, which brings my total profit from football punditry to $-5. I am also total kickass on Fifa 2004. I am also very happy about the fact that while G and CY have their respective steadies to cuddle with on the hard seats in shopping centres while tucking cups of bubble tea under their armpits, I am waddling around in bed with my laptop, with a couple of cartons of Vitasoy on the floor, and generally living up to the label of "pig". Doesn't take a pig to be happy these days, though...
