I spend all my time reading stuff like this, but this one is quite inspired. On Slashdot today, Mac users are not just smarter than PC users, they also urlLink have a better grasp of English . But that conclusion was reached by some guy using what are essentially mathematical calculations.
Slashdot idolatry of Macs and Mac users has escalated to a point I call Kim Jong-ilism: "The classic 'Mac user' is just an insanely cool bohemian dude who probably lives in a free wi-fi enabled coffee shop. " Hahaha. Actually, there's a reason why it's called Kim Jong-ilism: it's mostly unfounded. Me, I'm more average than the average Singaporean teenager, who has an IQ of about 2, listens to trashy music like Hoobastank and Avril Lavigne, wears bermudas, always roots for England at football, reads trashy local celeb magazines, has a Nokia handphone, and uses a Windows PC at home. It invariably falls to those two, because Singaporeans are daft, that's all. Okay, I'm not, but I am more lifeless than the average Singaporean teenager.
I'm a recluse - I never leave the house unless I have to. Another flaw is that I don't have the kind of brains it takes to spend S$3 on a ringtone that sounds more like a fart than a pop staple. (Although they have a lot of other similarities. ) Tangerine dream...
