Startlingly poor English in the entry yesterday - well, I actually bothered to proof it and rewrote a quarter of it hastily, drowsy and all. G - eat my shorts, but not the pair I'm wearing. We have Mass tomorrow from nine to ten. Oh dear.
I don't know why they force us to attend Mass. I also have a fairly decent grade for the only SS assignment I've been made to do since this time last year, I believe. Considering I spent about 15 minutes tops on it, and that our school's markers are just plain sadistic. I also have a whole set of this ex-student's Geography notes. He scored 7 points for his O Levels last year - straight A1s except Higher Chinese and English.
Let's go through his test results: his class tests average a bare pass mark, which is considered pretty good already. And he failed his first Sec 4 preliminary examinations for Elective Geography. And in an act of almost total bizarreness the first sentence of his Sec 3 year-end examination answer script reads "The map has basically no contour lines".
And I heard that they moderated the Combined Humanities result by ten juicy marks for last year's preliminary examinations, and even that wasn't going to prevent MOE from mailing their yearly letter about our prelim standards. So there's still some hope left for the rest of us who've never passed an Elective Geography test ever. Ah, sorry to mock you in my humble little blog, dear seven pointer, but... Um, nothing. Umlaut. Have to eat something now. Bye.
