just the right one now listening to: stereolab, o'rourke, fennesz (sp? ), sonic youth. i'm a lazy person, so i spend quite a lot of time listening to music sleeping in bed with the laptop by my side. and today i accidentally added the wrong sonic youth song to my "playlist", meticulously constructed to fill my ears with tranquil, lush lounge music + downtempo + a bit of trip-hop.
and then guess what happened: i was already soaring in the skies at the checkpoint to dreamland, and then kim gordon had to interrupt my journey with her song (i.e., her vocals) about plastic suns and her mother smoking grass or something (which i obviously couldn't decipher until i heard it again fully concious), and a kilotonne of guitar screeching. granted, one's appreciation of somewhat loud, screeching music is at its lowest when you're just about to drift to sleep.
oh, go away, kim. and then i rose from an unusually warm, unfamiliar smelling bed (my sheets were changed this morning) to get myself a cultured-milk drink called vitagen. hard to describe, but the fun part of drinking vitagen is trying to drain the liquid into your throat and allow the milk substances to coagulate. wish for something milky and sour to chew on when you're bored? you've got it.
