man-go-s-teen ah, good evening. today's dinner was roti prata and chicken curry. the roti prata was fried by my father and it sucked ice-cream. there's a skill to frying a decent piece of roti prata that i am beginning to appreciate. the thing is that you can't put too much oil or it will drip like a dog's nose in your mouth, and if you put too little, there's no taste at all.
at least an excessive amount of grase tastes grotesque. and to have just a bit more moisture (and flavour) you could add an egg to it. a bit about eggs: they contain 98% of the essential amino acids for our diet. eggs should be cooked because raw egg white contains avidin which is deactivated by cooking.
it's been said that eggs are bad for your health because of the high cholesterol content, although a (very) recent study suggests that the amount of blood cholesterol in the blood is more dependent on saturated fat in the diet as opposed to dietary cholesterol. this also goes somewhat in hand with the success of the carbohydrate-control-not-fat-control urlLink robert atkins diet which invited ridicule after he first introduced it in the '70s. he died two months ago, a year after science & statistics proved that the well-established (but incorrect) idea that a low-fat diet is the only way to go. maybe some other robert could try the diet out...
