8:00am Hsinchu, Taiwan. Sound of rain, scooters, and humming of the computer. Yellowish-gray sky, brown-streaked building, and pigeons perched on an air conditioner ledge. Cold feet, clammy hands, and cracked lips. I don't suppose anyone really knows the meaning of some U2 songs, though they do make you either nostalgic or wistful.
But you only feel the former until you really start to remember, and the latter if you are masochistic. Then again, we all secretly like to be tragic sometimes. Through the storm we reach the shore You give it all but I want more And I'm waiting for you With or without you With or without you I can't live With or without you
