Just a little bit, because that's all I know. (I hope my facts are correct. ) My dad's dad's mom's dad was a constable, Constable Mueller, in Germany before coming over to the United States with dreams of providing a better life for his wife & 4 children. He worked here for a year before sending for his wife & kids. They were over here for a year before my dad's dad's mom's dad, was killed by a train in Corapolis. So my dad's dad's mom's mom was left raising four children & she didn't know any English! When either my dad's dad's dad, or my dad's dad's dad's dad parent's passed away a friend took my relative in, despite the fact that he was over 18 & I guess kinda adopted him.
Out of respect my relative changed his surname from Harper to my current last name. Yep, that's right, my real last name should be Harper, but because of the kind actions of one man, it was changed. I like my last name because it's different & not common at all. It's not even on the US urlLink census report.
