Our site has been here for over a year, and I have never told you about our roots. It all started in January of 2003, when I joined Blogger.
I had ran many weak websites in the past that had failed miserably, but I was determined. My first blog was Zach's Geeky World, (you can still see its remains at geekyzach.blogspot.com,I got rid of the fancy template,) it was popular among my classmates, but didnt fly as well as expected. In March of 2003 ZGW arrived at death's door when the school's webmaster blocked all access to web sites made by free hosting programs, my site was killed. On March 28, I shut down the site for good. After that, on May 1, 2003 I started the website that you see today.
I first started it as a relaxation place for internet surfers called "Zach's Web Resort". I realized that this format would never get any hits, so I moved to a tech oriented field, I would never make a better decision. I renamed the site to "Zach's Techie Hangout", closely based on ZGW. I put mostly personal things on the site, and it was weak, but did well.
I first got into the actual tech news format a little after January 24th. It was then that Zach's Techie Hangout went uphill. Shortly after I switched the name to "The Main Server". Traffic has been good, and I have plugged the site on Leoville Town Square, Leo Laporte's personal message boards. The future is bright, and I invite you to join us in it.
