Prom was interesting. Naomi and Rebecca did my hair really nifty-like. It was all up in "pinwheels" and it had flowers in it and stuff...we (me, Naomi, Rebecca, Chris, Osato, and Mordechai) left around 6:30 but the place we were going to go eat at did not take reservations and so we had to wait an hour and 20 minutes to eat.
But it was ok because we all went to Addison Circle to take pictures. We took like a million pictures or something crazy like that. The place we ate was really deck. The guy that cooked in front of us was all like, "This is Japanese kethchup...this is Japanses broccolli...this is Japanese cholesterol...oops, that was Japanese mistake. " He flipped over my rice bowl without any of the rice falling out and he made this huge flame come off of the top of the table. Oh, anddddd I learned how to use chopsticks...kindof. But I can definitely almost use them efficiently now. I had a lot of fun there though. It got really interesting after that, because Rebecca's car wouldn't start and it was only a couple of hours until prom ended. So around 10:40 we decided to leave her car in Dallas and all squeeze into Mordechai's car, heh. Mordechai drove like 90 to get there because Dallas is a good 40 minute drive from Denton and we got there at around 15 after...but we didn't get into prom until around 11:30, so we basically spent about $1 per minute we were there.
But it was cool. I danced with Lisa and Laura and Aaron and Tyler to a couple of songs, and they are fun people they are. I danced with Chris the second to last song and the last song was extremely ironic, in a very nostalgic sense of the word. After taking more pictures, we left and had a good half hour to change and get ready for AfterProm, which was pretty awesome. Four hours of free go karts, mini golf, arcade games, and our very own casino, with silent auctions that we used the gambling chips to bid on. Oh, and there was free food, of course. I spent the evening with a variety of people. Kelli, Vanessa, Sarah, Sweeny...yeah. Good times. I didn't get to sleep until around 7:00 and I slept until 2:30. I played a soccer game and a softball game and then me and Rebecca and Naomi and Sarah all ordered pizza.
yum. I was supposed to do a lot of things today, but I didn't, as usual. I really wish that I was interested in more of my classes. More than just...one. Or two, maybe. I was thinking today about how close I am with a lot of the Junior class and how by the end of next year, if we are all even closer than we are right now, graduating is going to be so sad.
Anyway, Rebecca is brushing her teeth now, and I need to get off of her computer. I have some phone calls to make tomorrow and some homework to do and...other stuff. Lisa "Looking back on the memory of the dance we shared beneath the stars above. " -last song at prom (Garth Brooks, The Dance) Ironic, ne?
