the friday five Here it is, ladies and gentlemen...the ultimate cop-out of the writer-blocked blogger: the urlLink Friday Five! I decided to do it this week since the questions were a little less dorky than usual. So here we go.
1) What time to you wake up on weekday mornings? I set my television to turn on automatically at 6:45, and I usually crawl out of bed just before seven. 2) Do you sleep in on the weekends? How late? Not on Saturdays, because I work a morning shift at Borders on that day. On Sunday, my waking schedule varies. If I have nothing to do and nowhere to go, I will usually get up somewhere between 9:30 and 10:30. Unless I was up late the night before (not likely these days), in which case it would be more in the 11 to 12 range. I usually like the morning. If I could get up at dawn every day, I would. But I can't. 3) Aside from waking up, what is the first thing you do in the morning? Get a bowl of cereal and a cup of coffee, bring it in my bedroom and watch the first fifteen minutes of the Today Show.
Yes, I'm a creature of habit. 4) How long does it take to get ready for your day? I get out of bed just before seven and leave the house around 7:40, so I guess that's about 40 minutes. If I'm rushed, I can do it in 25-30. But I hate being rushed. 5) When possible, what if your favorite place to go for breakfast? Sunday is the only day I can do that, and I don't do it often. Liza and I love the urlLink Pour House on Boyslton Street (excellent brunch, very inexpensive), and when she lived in Allston we used to go to this great place on Harvard Avenue called urlLink Grecian Yearning (strange name, great food). I used to love sitting at the counter and watching the dudes work the grill.
