O happy day! Today sees the release of urlLink "You Are The Quarry," Morrissey's first album in seven years. It'll be added to the growing pile of stuff to be reviewed on urlLink delicious media, but i have a feeling it'll be given a high priority. I'm dying to hear this. In the meantime, urlLink read what Renee Graham of the Boston Globe has to say about it.
Also released today is a long-awaited (for me, anyway) special edition of Alan Parker's 1987 thriller urlLink "Angel Heart. " The film stars Mickey Rourke, Lisa Bonet and Robert DeNiro (this was back when Rourke was making good movies) and generated tons of controversy upon its theatrical release, due to a graphic sex scene between Rourke and Bonet (thus tarnishing her reputation in the eyes of Denise Huxtable fans). Controversy aside, it's a creepy, effective film noir murder mystery set in 1950s New Orleans. If you choose not to buy it, at least rent it. As Liza's dad would say, "good flick.
