I have a class called Professional Development. We are using the book called The Everything Get-A-Job Book. Or at least most of us are. I showed up for class today only to find out, IT WAS THE WRONG WEEK! Class is held every-other week. This is my OFF WEEK.
A different group has this same class, opposite weeks. Anyways, I stayed because I missed LAST FRIDAY'S class that I was actually supposed to be in... LOL! Today it came to Jane's attention that there were several people missing the text books. She also relayed that she didn't think they would be getting anymore in, if they did come, she didn't know when. So, of course, I jump on the computer, come to this website, click on my lil' AMAZON banner at the top of the page, and click. I do an advanced search, searching for the ISBN number found on the back of MY text book.
And what do ya know, I find them. The cheapest one was 1.30. But we need several. SO, I ask exactly how many are needed. I pose the inquiry to the class. Someone suggests that they pay for their own so they can keep them.
Kewl. Jane wants one too. She poses that the school would pay for them. So, I run to Larry Long and pose this query to him. He approves. I do some more digging... Uahh Oohh.
Now we need 10 ! There are two for 1.30 and one of those is damaged. The next 9 new/used books range from 1.80 to 3.50. Plus shipping. So, I go ahead and order... looking for the total before I actually confirm the order. 10 books, including shipping, comes to $62.05.
That ends up being $6.21 each. I get 6.25 from 4 people. One person still owes me 1.25. And Larry Long approves the check from the school for the other $31.05. I paid by credit card. (My first business transaction on the Amazon Associates link.
) And so, this leads to why I just received 10 shipping confirmations for this book. Confusing? It's okay, I was confused while writing this, but I feel good that I was able to take care of business and order the books for the class. And over half of those people I've never seen before! Jane was so happy that I helped. I also took care of the dang printer... LOL.
Poor Brian thought for sure he was gonna get into trouble for even looking at that printer! The books should be here by no later the end of next week. I will deliver them as soon as I recieve them!
