It's been awhile since i've posted any real stuff... 2 weeks ago, my step-son, JD, wrecked his 3 week old, *95 Chrysler Cirrus. He was coming down Baker Creek, back into town. He took the sharp 45 degree turn TOOOO fast. 60 - 65 on a 25 turn. Well, he turned hard once he reliazed what was happening, and hit gravel. He went into the ditch... drove the ditch about 300 feet.
No problem there... An alignment at best. Well, THEN he tried to overcorrect to get out of hte ditch and back onto the road. He underestimated how deep the ditch was. He turned hard the the left, and ended up flipping the car. It flipped several times before landing on it's hind end. Then it fell over onto it's roof.
OUCH!!! JD is 17 years old. Still. He'd only had his license for a month and 8 days. He'd ONLY had the car for 16 days. He was given an *88 Camero for Graduation from my parents.
It was a beater, gas hog. He sold that for $1500. to a friend. He bought this BEAUTIFUL Cirrus for ONLY $2100.! PAID IN FULL. The insurance was gonna be a little spend-y so I decided to wait till the 30 day grace period was up to get the car insured.
It was covered by MY FULL CONVERAGE Windstar for the first 30 days. Since he wrecked it, it was covered. I got a check for over double what we paid for it. (It was in my name as he's too young to OWN a car. ) So, we went and got him a *94 Toyota Tercel... BTW, the Cirrus only had 100 k miles on it. The Tercel has 111K miles on it, but we paid $2950.
for it. Oh, I almost got off track... Jd only had his license for just over a month. He's not allowed to drive with ANYONE in the car except FAMILY. Charlie, his friend, IS NOT FAMILY. He was in the car during the wreck. He's got a sprained neck.
Gonna be okay, but I expect that we'll be suid. Jd only has a minor sprained neck. Both front windows were down and the are real lucky they were. Otherwise, there heads would be okay. And they might not have even lived through the wreck. They were both wearing seat belts.
THANK GOD!!! In other news! Jessica is now working with a total of three family's farms. She riding horses and training them. The latest farm that we found has 3 babies, 5 adults and 2 yearlings. SHE'S SOOO HAPPY.
She's also babysitting for 2 different families. Jonathan is playing. He's camping, shooting guns, playing disc golf, and of course video games. I just got him a computer, well it's all three kids, but he'll be the one on it the most. With all the computer games. Jennifer comes home this Thursday.
She's been at her gramma's. She went to New York right after school let out. She was there for a week. Then off to San Diego to gramma's house. I miss her, and can't wait to pick her up from the airport Thursday. YEAH!!
All my grades are still up in the A's and B's. I'm taking Integrated Accounting, Microsoft Word, Excel, Sociology, and Verbal Communications. Big load. 7 hours; two days per week and two hours; the other two days per week. Fridays off! YEAH.
Well, that's about it for now. Till next time.
