Leah and i's trip to sin city was stinkin' great. we got to do all sorts of stuff and not spend a ton of money (which rocks). it was the most absoutely perfect way to end this "very hard" summer. this summer kicked our butts.
so... sin city..er...Vegas was the best way to just get the heck out of town, spend a few bucks, stay in an awesome hotel, see some cool sites (as well as stupid drunk people) , and just RELAX. we also got to see the BLUE MAN GROUP which i've been dying to see for the past 4 years. it was a trippy show, but worth every penny. it was great. thanx to our parents who hooked us up with the $ to get away. it was a true blessing. So...school is in full swing and it's weird...i'm slowing down a bit. which is very nice. i was about to snap a few weeks ago...but now...i'm fine. We've been having awesome youth group wednesdays and sundays. which... in youth ministry, you're not supposed to be all excited about 'numbers' and stuff..but when there's more students there- it's just a more fun environment. Also...kid's are gettin really deep in worship and small groups which is something we've never seen before. Praise God! I got paid today...that rocks. I've also got a new obsession with getting a MAC.
i've decided to give a 'stone cold stunner' to PCs- and make the switch. the only problem is... i don't have any money to make the switch. anyone wanna buy a drum set? Speaking of drums... you've gotta check out this band urlLink THE AGONY SCENE. They are absolutely great. years ago there was this band called ACME that had an ad in a ton of zines that said "more metal than an F'n scrap yard". The agony scene would whip acme's bootay. the agony scene is so stinking heavy black metal stuff with old hardcore breakdowns.
just brutal yet weirdly melodic. (ty and jake..you'd love this) think At the gates meets Zao when they were good. check it out. Check out the new Chemical Brothers song urlLink "the golden path" with the Flaming Lips. great video too.
