I am officially an California resident. I've now got Cali plates and a Cali license. Sure, it took 4 hours to get it, but at leat i got em'. DMV's are not fun to anyone, but California DMVs are the most hideous and nasty things you've ever seen. There were more people at the DMV in line than i went to High School with. Hundreds of people, who all don't want to be there, and we're waiting in hard plastic chairs or in que lines. I bet that hell is a lot like a California DMV. I think Dante talked about that in is book...oh...maybe not.
Anyway...it was aweful, but i made it through it. later. I did finally get to go to a concert on monday. There's this club about a couple miles down the road from where Leah and i will live and they get some great bands. I got to see a couple of bands that i've been listening to for years and never had the chance to see them.
One of the bands urlLink [Hey Mercedes] is comprised mostly of a band from the early days of the Indie rock scene that really introduced to that style of music. Anyway...it was such a treat to see those guys. Also, urlLink Piebald played. This was a band me and my buds from college always listened to,hung out to, drove to, and acted stupid to. So it was very cool to hear them play songs that brought back memories of hanging at college. Note- This is my first nostalgic-college-memory-thing. It was cool though. later
