Last night we did a little "Cheap beer blind taste test" i figure now that I unemployed I'll need to find a less expensive beer to enjoy. so here are the results which were quite surprising I might add: Beer #1 -- No hop aroma, sweet and full-bodied, mild aftertaste, nice pin point carbonation, not immediately ready to vomit. verdict...tastes like another Beer #2 -- less hoppy than #1. No flavor whatsoever, didn't even taste like water. designed primarily for use in beer bongs and for shotgunning. Beer #3 -- First impressions were that it smelled like something that I had definitely vommited up before. It had nice head retention but a lot of off flavors, kinda left a metal spoon taste in your mouth. seem like it would be best suited for beer pong games at college parties. perhaps that's why it smelled familiar? Beer #4 -- worst smell ever! horrible bouquet. tasted a lot like beer #2. something funky going on in the flavor department but it did have a smooth finish and no off flavors.
not too bad. my rankings and post taste test labels revealed: 1st place beer #1 -- Pabst Blue Ribbon second place beer #4 -- Carling Black Label third place beer #2 -- Strohs Original fourth place goes to beer #3 -- Shaeffer Tester's comments: subjects were cooperative and belching was complimentary. researcher indulged in snobby uppity import beer during test. Beer #4 procduced the best belch of the evening.
