  Photos of the Day for July 31, 2003 Life -- In A Dream urlLink Photographer: Franziska Lang Photographer's comments: I almost threw this photo away because it was totally skewed (I rotated about 25 degrees) and I knew I'd loose too much background to keep everything in. But, I tried anyway, and used a very large rubber stamp to extend the (relatively even) background, then cropped and did my usual post-processing. This is the reason why the flower stem seems to just fade away. I'm happy with the result and glad I didn't give up on the shot :) Camera used: Nikon D100 Geo.
