So here's the update on my "What Should My Major Be?!? " saga... I went to see my advisor today and he told me I was stupid. Well not in those words really. I asked him if the math class I was taking now could possibly count as a precal class and he said no way.
Ok. Fine. Whatever. He then told me that I was not smart enough to take a Calculus class. What the fuck?!? I don't mean to sound conceited, but does he have any clue who he is talking to? I graduated high school with advanced calc. I have pulled nothing but A's in all of my math classes to date. I have a 3.8 GPA for crying out loud!! He has some fucking nerve to say I'm not smart enough. However, I did not say this to him to his face because I like to avoid confrontation at any cost. Anyways, I sent an e-mail to the dean and told him what happened. I wasn't mean to him at all but I did get my point across. Let's see if this guy replies. I know nothing will probably happen. He'll tell me that he thinks I should talk to my advisor about what happened and work things out amongst ourselves.
It's also my word against the advisor's. Guess who's side they'll take? (Hint: It won't be mine) This event has given me yet another reason to complain about Montclair. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad school but Stevens looks more and more tempting as the asses at Montclair continue to be.. well.. asses!
