Today the urlLink Observer has a piece about Nudestock, which is, according to them, hippie Mecca. The event website advertises: "We are the only nudist resort to promote a retro-Nudestock that relives the music and mood of the sixties. " This is exactly what troubles me so much about the generation of individuals that once had the backbone to stand up to their parents, Richard Nixon, the establishment. Shouldn't they be at a urlLink Moveon.org event instead of a nostalgia fest capitalistically designed to charge for their naked walk down memory lane? Maybe it's always been this way, urlLink the real believers maligned for the poseurs who exchanged their idealism for a Visa card. Last year I had the pleasure of attending a peace rally in DC with urlLink 80,000 of my fellow Americans who think diplomacy is more than a nice idea. That was hippie Mecca.
