  Once again the American press proved Astronauts have to die or nearly die for space to break into the otherwise numb and noisy headlines. The Cubs lost last night, Bush and Cheney are urlLink pulling another page from the Vietnam playbook by accusing the press of making too much of the daily US soldier deaths, and somewhere a kid put his penis in another kids face.
These headlines and more precede the news that the first new nation in forty years put a man in space. Plus, China was the first nation ever to put themselves into space without a war for motivation! Some urlLink buzz is out there about the seemingly extreme amount of debris that came off the rocket at launch. It's clearly debris, and not ice. Let's hope it's nothing important.
