  My favorite part was when a News 2 reporter called into the studio and said he was at Westheimer and Shepherd and was watching a fridge float down the street.
My sister-in-law and I had fun contemplating the insurance claim if you hit that. At another point, one of the stations' reporters went on this rant about the savage woman Mother Nature is, who takes out her wrath on buildings and trees and shrubbery.
Oh God, not the shrubbery! I guess the flooding was moderately serious, some streets around the Katy Freeway were under 15 feet of water, but all in all things weren't as bad as the collective alliterative news stations would have us believe. After much of Houston had seen 8-10 inches of rain, they kept saying we should get 8 more. Now that's a scary prospect! Thankfully, it never came to pass.
