urlLink In Evansville, IN, the veterans for Peace chapter held a protest . Here's an excerpt from the article: "The protestors were met with opposition. One vet at the rally says these demonstrators are turning their backs on the country that gave them the right to protest. "It's necessary to stand-up for this country. It's necessary to stand-up for our rights. No other nation in the world would give me the right to stand up here and speak and them the right to and them over there the right to speak on totally opposite things," said William Conner.
" Similarly, urlLink a rally was held in St. Cloud, Minnesota . urlLink Here's an 80 year old traditional plea for peace in Tennessee . It seemed only urlLink this Australian paper and urlLink Comedy Central paid tribute to the fact that the day is chiefly about those veterans urlLink who did not make it home .
Those whose sacrifice should, above all, cause the urlLink citizens of this country urlLink to question their urlLink government's intentions in Iraq before more fallen veterans' bodies must return home.
