  Well, the tipping point has come for the Second Superpower. Suddenly it’s the buzz of all the blogs and newsgroups. That tipping point’s final straw was certainly Google and the firestorm of words that broke out when Google changed the term’s meaning to emergent democracy (http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/people/jmoore/secondsuperpower.html). So here it is, the movement of the people—all the people of the world!—and we’ve got a front row seat!
No, better yet, we are the show! I think it’s so interesting that the Family came out of the closet the same year the Second Superpower did. It’s like the tension is required between these polar expressions of power: one seeks to control information and the other requires the free flow of information to exist. I hate to be such an American, but it does present a dichotomy. So which side do you choose?
