In October I added my site meter, which tells me about the ways people get to my site. Since then, I feel pretty guilty when I see people who find my blog while searching for something else through Google. I know they must see a snippet of their subject in the google descriptor, then they click on it and find my blog's main page which is probably days or weeks past that subject's post and they have no way of knowing where it is. So I added a search box to my site that only searches my two blogs. It won't do much for all the Sharon Osbourne Nude Photos searches I get though, because I once had two posts back to back about Nudestock and Sharon Osbourne and Google's bots think it's the same post.
Now that I've mentioned it again, I will probably get even more hits! Shame on you people for oogling America's mama! Serves you right to get misdirected here... I liked the way Lisa explained her search box on urlLink Cadence90 , so I kind of pilfered it. Hope that's cool... Speaking of Lisa, she has urlLink a nice entry today about the social nature of blogging, with advice for enhancing it.
