I read the story and said, the solution's simple: get to know your neighbors better, and invite them, too! Or at least warn them in person that this party is coming up and please call on the cell if you have a problem rather than involving the cops. In broad geo-political terms, I think I'm advocating Canada. John read the story and said the hip, new urban design of open-floorplan houses caused people to be bunched up and they needed a quiet, zen-like room to cycle into to calm down.
I said it would turn into the extacy room. In broad geopolitical terms, I guess John's saying the nature of corporate-controlled politics is buck-centered rather than peace and happiness-centered, and were we to employ some zen philosophers before rushing to the tanks next time, we might save some lives and money in the long run.
