Last weekend I blogged vaguely about my return to urlLink church . The sermon included a poem from this poet, urlLink Taylor Mali . I checked him out upon returning home, he's tres cool. Mr. Mali urlLink blogs and is on the verge of becoming a giant poet celeb in NYC. Since his roots are in teaching junior high, a lot of his work reflects the angst of youth, urlLink like this .
I'm recommending him to the giant plethora of teachers suddenly in my life. In other links found today, the Guardian has a cool urlLink interview of Coldplay regarding Fair Trade and Oxfam. Also, Salam Pax will be available live on the Guardian Friday. Wednesday is urlLink Central City Co-op pick up day here in Houston. Today was the fall backyard bizarre and I had an especially well-timed experience. My soul was a little down today, stupid life stuff just caught up with us.
Anyway, I met a woman--a new mother--named urlLink Gretchen G. Brossa . Gretchen founded urlLink An Earth for Ivy: Custom Cloth Diaper Systems . She sells custom-made cloth diapers and children's clothes all made of locally grown organic cotton. I bought the cutest little smock-dress for my Ellie, and she's going to start making Mayan baby wraps that I intend to buy for my new mother friends from now on.
