John's conference ended yesterday, so today we drove south to spend the rest of our weekend in beautiful Taos. We always seem to bring the rain here, and today is no exception. The temperature is in the 50s and big rain clouds keep rolling in off Taos Mountain. It's really beautiful, but I had wished to squeeze in an afternoon hike for the family. Aidan awoke from his nap just as we drove into the valley and upon seeing Taos Mountain, he recognized it from his urlLink big Williams Lake adventure and began begging to go again. Not this time, but I'm psyched at his attitude toward hiking. We arrived at Taos about an hour ago and I had John drop me off at Wired Cafe, which has free wi-fi, assuming you at least buy a cup of tea or coffee.
I eagerly checked my mail and found a positive response to a publication query that had been on the fence for a few weeks. I'm so excited! It's with urlLink Mothering Magazine , and I've offered to meet with them in person regarding the article so we may end up staying in Santa Fe.
