Here's how crazy we are. I was thinking we should buy a new car and I mentioned it to John. He said, we should do it before we go to Colorado next week. So we did. Here's our new car: urlLink The All New Volvo S40 Btw, the VW's off the table now.
Traded it in. I realized some time ago that we will never be people without a car payment. It's a fixed expense for us. Every two or three years we get a different car, thereby staying under warranty and accomodating my changing taste and needs. If you want a used Volvo, check in here in about two to three years. As with most things, this puts us perfectly between my parents and John's. John's parents believe in always paying cash for a car, and just last week bought their first new car in the history of the family.
My parents, on the other hand, get a new car nearly every year for one or the other of them. I'm excited for our purchase, mostly for the higher safety standard. We spend so much time on the road, I wanted to be sure the kiddos were very safe. Everyone says it. A Volvo is a tank. Cheers to tanks!
