What's fascinating here, though, is the backstory. This guy was the perfect example of the hard-to-teach highschool student, thrived on rebelling, but brilliant enough to rebel well. I think I was like him, too. Teachers hated me because I made them work harder. Well, the bad ones did, anyway. Of course, when this conjugator was born back in 1997, I was a sophomore in high school who had just received a far too tedious Spanish assignment, and I had little formal exposure to linguistics. But it was still much more fun to make a program generate the verb forms than to write them out manually for the assignment. I knew all the forms anyway, so this was my way of making something constructive out of a boring task. "
