Mountain rain moves in fast! Into the tent the Mac, the second cup of tea, and I have absconded. Quietly, kids still sleeping. In the time it took to set up in here, the rain’s moved on. I’m too used to the Houston rain that drones on for hours. The birds are celebrating the much-needed precipitation with their melodies. The lingering clouds let out an occasional bout of thunder, the crashing sounds like rumbling rocks as it ricochets through the canyons. And always the rushing water provides the background to all our sounds and songs.
