Greetings and Salutations, I am currently even further south, residing in Warm Springs, Georgia, and yes, as small as you can imagine the town to be, it's even smaller.
I have to drive about 15 minutes to get cell phone reception and to do any grocery shopping. The rehab hospital I'm interning at is pretty cool though, and there are plenty of other interns around so it's not terribly boring all the time. What I do fear is that I will undoubtedly be an alcoholic by the time this internship is over. The last two Fridays, the drinking has started at around 6 pm, only because there is nothing else to do on Friday night, except maybe go to the one of two places in town that sell alcohol and drunkenly sing karaoke along with the locals and their three good teeth and immaculately maintained mullets. Unfortunately, I will not be home for Thanksgiving, I only have Thursday off, so I'm taking a personal day Friday and going down to Florida to see dear old dad.
So, no NJ for me until Christmas, I booked my flight yesterday actually. One nice thing about the location, I'm only about an hour and 20 from Atlanta, so I at least can enjoy some good concerts.
Went up on Monday and saw Thursday, Thrice, and Coheed and Cambria. It made me happy, even if I had to drive extra slow once I got on the backwoods roads to get back to Warm Springs, first to avoid running over multiple deer and second, I don't want Sheriff Roscoe pulling over my out of state vehicle and have me wind up rotting in some 10'x10' local jail cell for the next 25 years. Big ups to Bri for the Big League Chew reference, it was nice!
