Hi, Amber and I went to the fireworks display tonight at the convention center. What a mass of humanity! Before the show I sat next to a man and his family who are from Pakistan, talking I asked him what he thought about the day (Independence Day), he sat quiet for a minute and then said "you seem to enjoy it"... Badoom - rim shot. Oh well, I guess we can't all be poet warriors. The event went well, except for the police parking a VERY LARGE pickup truck right in front of us. Amber and I walked around to the other side and stood and watched the spectacle, a very nice display.
Jewel - I hope your barbque went well, leftovers?? Yumm, I suddenly have a hankering for ribs and corn on the cob and potato salad and watermelon, then some more ribs and some more corn - any room left will be dedicated to beer, in short the perfect American barbque. I remember as a kid the wonderful times we had when my Mom and Dad and Pappy and Nana would all get together and my Dad would grill burgers and ribs and corn, oh my what a wonderful time we would have. Sitting out on the porch eating watermelon, the juice running down my arms, spitting the seeds across the yard. Simple, child times; times when there were no cares no troubles no worries, just fun and simple pleasures. Oh and not to forget the homemade ice-cream, quite possibly the finest confection ever designed by humans - period.
