One of my goals in life is to be on a game show. Today, I tried to get closer to making that goal a reality, and I called the Game Show Network's contestant hotline, where you are told about all the contestant searches going on for GSN's gameshows (I want to be on Cram with a friend from high school.
I think we'd win. ) Anyway, I was not greeted by a friendly gameshow-type voice recording. No. It was the "phone lady" who told me the party at mailbox whatever number was not available, and then told me to leave a message. What! I think the number is wrong on GSN.com, because, c'mon, I don't think they want hundreds of "Hi. This is Kara. I want to be on a game show. I'd be on any game show, but I'd really like to be on Cram.
I'm good at remembering things. And I have a lot of practice cramming, as I seldom studied for tests more than a day in advance. Also, I think I'd be ok at Lingo, but for that game, I need a different partner than the partner I'd have for Cram. Whammy? Well, that would be ok, too. But, it's not before Cram or Lingo. Oh, I'd like to be on Funny Money. Put that ahead of Whammy, but after Lingo..." messages. If you promise a hotline, you should deliver a hotline.
